Plenty of iPhone apps seek to entertain, organize or give us a boost of technology, but many of the good ones will cost you, if only a few dollars. When you consider that there are thousands of iPhone apps available, those few dollars can easily add up to eat a big portion of your bank account. The unspoken truth, however, is that many of these iPhone apps are completely free. Though they may not revolutionize your music library, they may tell you where you’re going or help organize your clutter schedule. These useful apps come free for the taking.
Flashlight – Flashlights come in handy, and this one comes right in your phone. This iPhone app offers bright colors of illumination so you can find your way down a dark staircase, root through the car for your keys, or check out the map you’re reading in the dark. It always helps to keep a light handy, especially when the light is actually your cell phone. It’s one of the iPhone apps that are worth keeping around.
iBear Timer – This iPhone app helps you keep track of the exact time that has elapsed after an important event or the remaining time that exists before an event happens. It’s great for when you have an important event to plan for, or a good conversation piece for knowing how long ago it was since you passed your final exam and got a diploma. This is one of those iPhone apps that can be used for fun as well as function. I use it to keep track of meetings, but it’s also useful to see how long it is until the weekend too.
If Found Please – If you lose your iPhone, this app might help you find it again. It’s simple but useful, displaying customized information on your wallpaper so someone knows how to locate you if they find your phone. It even works when the phone is locked.
Lotto Shake – Want to play the Lotto but run out of number combination’s? With this iPhone app, you just shake the phone for a random number combination. It works for the Daily Play, Thunderball, the UK Lotto and Euro Millions. If your iPhone number wins, there’s no reason you have to share the winnings with your iPhone, but it might be nice if you took it out to dinner to show your thanks. iPhone apps need to feel appreciated.
